Customised solutions

Adesys develops and produces all its own products. One advantage of this is that it is possible to adapt the products to your specific needs. You can discuss this with the developers personally and this is why adaptations often take no more than one or two days and the costs are relatively low. Our developers are happy to give input concerning your application!

Example 1: Wireless emergency telephones along the trunk roads

Adesys was selected by the KPN (Royal Dutch Telecom) on behalf of the Ministry of Waterways and Public Works to develop and supply the electronics to make the ANWB (Royal Dutch Touring Club) emergency telephones on the trunk roads wireless. This GSM solution is battery powered and can operate for 5 years on one lithium battery. This has made the 3,300 km long cable network between the telephones unnecessary and this has meant considerable cost savings for the Ministry of Waterways and Public Works.

Example 2: information about water levels

A supplier in the hydraulics sector was instructed to make the water
levels in a river available to shipping. In the existing situation, these
levels were already measured by a PLC for process control. The supplier opted to link a special Octalarm-T model to the PLC. As soon as that Octalarm-T receives a call from a boat, the current water level is
retrieved from the PLC. The Octalarm-T then selects the necessary speech fragments, so that the boat's master hears the water level as a spoken message.

Example 3. Measuring cable temperatures by Energy Solutions

The Severa Webmeter GPRS products are used to display input statuses and analogue measured values on a website. In this situation the Severa GPRS modem is a stand-alone application that the measured values are linked to directly.
Energy Solutions from Delft, together with Adesys, have made an unusual application from this. Sensors are used to measure the temperature of high voltage cables in the ground. The 0-20mA sensor outputs are connected to the Severa Webmeter and the measured values are logged in Severa's data logger using a variable sample time.
At regular intervals the measured values registered are forwarded to a web server so that they can be displayed on an internet application that Energy Solutions has set up. This application determines the load bearing performance of the high voltage cable on the basis of the current and the temperature of the sheathing which are measured in real time.

Using EnSol CTMS on a cable connection gives insight into the instantaneous continuous and dynamic current capacity of the cable system. This makes informed use of the instantaneous capacity of the connection possible which can lead to less cables being necessary. This has achieved considerable savings for the electricity distributor.
