Severa

The Severa modem / SMS alarm allows you to control your machines and installations remotely, over the fixed or mobile telephone network. You connect to your PLC on the on-site process computer via the modem. By activating the input points (up to 8), any malfunctions can be reported by way of an SMS message. The relay output ports allow you to switch or reset your application remotely. A unique feature is the emergency power supply, which ensures that you will automatically receive an SMS message in the event of an electricity failure. With its small size and DIN rail mounting, the Severa fits inside any switchboard cabinet.

Models for PSTN, GSM and GPRS

Real-time process control and telemetry are also possible with the Severa, which also comes in a model for the GSM/GPRS network. With GPRS, your application is on-line at all times, and as such can be accessed via the Internet. For more information, see the GPRS site.

Implementation help for GPRS

With GPRS, your application is on-line at all times via the Internet. However, lack of familiarity with the technical features generally makes it difficult to estimate the implementation costs in advance. Guarantee on firmware stability

With most modem manufacturers, the product changes follow each other in rapid succession, generally resulting in non-compatible software revisions. As a consequence, it is possible that you as a user are forced to adjust your application again and again to meet the latest changes, and replacement or expansion often gives rise to chaotic situations for your service department. As we are very much aware of these problems, Adesys's software is not only revised much less frequently, compatibility with previous versions is always a consideration. This approach, combined with the fact that in practice Adesys modems remain available for as long as 10 years, means that you can continue to use your application for many years without any problems.
